PALO NHS FOUNDATION DAY

On December 14, 2023, The 30th Founding Anniversary was held. To introduce the opening of the Founding Anniversary, the school principal, Ma'am Betsy Grace V. Navarette gives a heartfelt invitation speech for all the alumni of Palo National High School.

Reaching out to all Palonians inviting them to attend the Foundation Celebration, furthermore, to participate in the upcoming competitions held by the school. The Founding Anniversary has it's own activities including a parade, which had students looking forward to.

Palo NHS gathered early in the morning where you would see all the students from all grade levels and all the teachers partake in a joyful and colorful parade, an exclusive event that only happens once every decade

The mass was followed by welcome remarks by Ma'am Betsy Grace Navarette, and an inspirational speech from Hon. Remedios "Matin" L. Petilla, though only her representative was able to attend.

After the speech, Palo National High School's Special Program in the Arts (SPA)BAYLE is called for their dance performance as the first intermission number is announced.

30th Founding Anniversary Kick off

Posted by Palo National High School - Special Program in the Arts on Wednesday, December 13, 2023

After the SPA's performance, the crowd once again cheers as other dancers take center stage for the entertainment segment, introducing The Playground Demonstration. In which each grade level get to compete against each other in a dancing competition, but the twist is that they are all given different "timelines" in which their dances must originate from, for example, the 7th graders are from the 80s and the 10th graders are from the 2000s.

It was the long awaited segment, as the crowd cheers for all the dancers to enter the center of the quadrangle where the dance competition is being held the first presenter out of the 6 groups.

The 9th graders representing the  takes the spotlight and gives it their all in hopes winning the competition and obtaining the champion title from their competitors.

As the first presentation came to an end, the next came in and took the spotlight on par with the energy that the 9th graders gave, the 7th graders followed by the 8th graders and so on until the 12 graders.

Throughout the entire program, I was in awe of how good the performances were. They were all parallel with each other, on par with the same energy. It was hard to determine the outcome of who will be the champion. That is how they were able to bring the excitement and entertainment that the crowd yearned for.

After all the presentations provided by each grade level, the judges have determined the winners of the competition. The Champions of the Playground demo was the 8th Graders!

They were able to fulfill the desired excitement and the expectations of not only crowd but most importantly, the judges! Up next is the 1st runner up, the 11th Graders!

Followed by the 12th Graders as the 2nd runner up of the competition.

Though the program was only in the morning, the competition was still one if not the most thrilling portion in the entire event. Giving students all over the campus a chance to cheer for their most favorite group/grade level in the Playground Demonstration.

It was truly an amazing experience, being able to see other students showcase their talent and passion in dancing, the way everyone was united and all together made an entertaining show that had everyone smiling and cheering for more.

All the excitement that lasted only for a few hours, the competitions, the program was worth the wait. An event that is exclusive for all Palonians, and me being able to experience the thrill that it holds is and will never be not worth it.

Over the years, many Palonians were molded in this school and many more are yet to come. This celebration is to showcase how far Palo National High School has progressed ever since it was founded.
